Zoo time

Cooking some lobster

Went to the zoo with the family this sat morning since we got free tickets, somehow. The weather was lovely! just like this whole week has been but I've spent most of it at home looking after my little niece.. sketching ideas for painting, starting research for this essay and still need to do sketches for the qvm thing. urgh on that. My universal charger is dead :( I need to revive my nikon.

Anyways here are some photos of some animals at the zoo.

On the train

Been slacking in blogging. Church is whats been happening. Saturday was my depressing sick day. Sunday niece's 1st birthday. Monday out with a friend.

Entered this for fun in The Love is here comp on fb.

Paper crown boy

My day consisted of sleeping in, going grocery shopping, church, playing with my niece and that's about it..

To make my day more worthwhile I just drew a quick sketch of this cute little boy in Papier Mache. I quite like it.

Plates

Today came to class on time but only arrived to see only two people have turned up including me. We had a new teacher that was introduced last week and she was quite shattered that not many came. She is quite nice! and likes my works that I've been doing.. well that's what she said. Anyways about 4-6 people came eventually which was better. Didn't really do much for these 4hours. Made my friend draw a pic on a plate for me since she had nothing to do and her works are awesome. After had art business class left half way then also skipped late theory class. I'm such a good student. Yay on easter break now! Only a week though. Time to start on that essay...

This is what I got! and I traded with this..

This is what I drew on the train home on Tuesday.

Dreams Come True

Monday went to the Dreams come true exhibition at ACMI before class with my mum and Christina since it ends on the 26th April. It was alright, Tim Burton was way better though but I think it's pretty mad how they animate stuff back then and the way they paint everything is so wowsers mainly using gouache and ink together or acrylic. One second of a film takes like 25 frames to make. Crazy! Imagine a full movie.. gosh. Only stayed there a bit since Christina was so annoying and kept wanting to go the other gallery there with the games and all. They both thought that place was better than the Disney since it was free and more interactive.

Here is some time slice we took. It's meant to look like some matrix thing.

late night weekend painting.

Pooka

Been watching movies lately! since I've learnt to borrow them from the library.. Life as a dog, You're my hero, Scott Pilgrim vs the world, Edward scissorhand, Harvey, Sid and Nancy, The science of sleep and now The shining. All in four days. I don't know how these will help me but I'll just call them inspiration. Had a nice meal with Susan today filled with dumplings and noodles.

Started on a new painting also of Fluffy (the right one) and some others.
