Back to blogging! It has been a bit over a month.. This holiday break I've been actually busy and not sitting around that much~ yayer. I have found a job! feels good to see money rolling in my bank account again. Also been painting a commision piece for cc. 

Went to the Highpoint Christmas opening event thing with my little cousins where there was free face painting, those balloon people, costume figurine people.. It's nice highpoint is actually creating events these days like they're having some 12 days til christmas where you can get free gift cards, samples and other stuff.

Oh gosh kitty has been sooo naughty. He pissed on a new karaoke machine my dad bought not long ago. -__-  This is the second time!! I feel so bad.. my dad would probably have threw him out the house ages ago if it wasn't for me.

Also checked out the Monash grad show. I think out of all Monash  was better. 

Last night I attended a little event for my old principal who is retiring as principle. I was invited because I have painted him and was to present it as a gift from the V parents group. It was kind of random but he liked it! and everyone else did so it was good. It was nice to feel acknowledged for something I've done by a group of people I have never met. A lot of thank yous.

 I've been wanting to make these for awhile now after watching 'Toast' (2010)  and it just came to mind few days ago. Haven't been baking lately but I am quite happy with these as a first attempt! actually took me 2 days to make.

Oh Oh Chéri

Mon: Presentation over (phew) felt so devo afterwards for the rest of the day though. headache.
Tue: Conservation centre. It was so interesting! was planning to stay home this day. Saw how they restored old artworks and went to this underground place where they keep all these docs on bureaucracy and all. After had lunch at Don Tojo with Kelly! was good.
Wed: Cleaned room. Attempt to work on criticism.
Thu: Went to the Festival of Nations at Melb Uni, food! takoyaki balls.Witnessed Gangnam style flashmob. At lib: Attempt criticism. At night found out I chose the wrong topic to do!! when I read the assessment page again. All my time wasted.
Friday: Finished it off! Started a painting from my slack of prac work.

Another paper due Mon! oh I like to procrastinate.

Exam over. I think I've finished actual classes now since Friday! which I didn't rock up to.. It was that day with the non stop raining, horrible. Now just got heaps of studio time to get ready for assessment.

On Sat, took my sister out to the city. Went to see the William Kendridge show before it ended on Sunday! It was amazingg, I should of went to see it earlier so I could go again just to sit and watch his works properly. Didn't manage to watch everything that I wanted to with my sister around, always bugging to go out to the game centre outside. The fruit ninja event was on at Fed Square too, got some free shirts which was cool. 

                            

Cupcakes I made on the weekend cos I was craving for some.. mm. Today I've made berry mousse and chieken, bacon, mushroom, corn casserole.

Nissan

 Hi, few weeks of class left. One exam next Monday. Currently kind of working on video stuff which is different. Still lost/figuring out what I'm trying to achieve (even in painting). Had great individual tutes both leading me to do video things. Learnt about how to hang works. Finally finished making my actual first big canvas on my own, go me. Some intense times there was. Dislike asking the same person again for help, feels like I'm annoying them but whatever. Standing/wondering around awkwardly. I've been feeling quite happy then usual these days, still always tired though. A stranger wrote me a song, using the first letter of my name to start each line for the first para. So nice, no one has written me a song before. It made my day. One little project left to do.

 

On the Tuesday and Wednesday, Fed Square had the nissan car fuel thing going on and so there were these fuel tanks that were created by artists, which had various things ( some that also involves some free stuff!) Free coffee, popcorn, the age newspaper, bottled water, balloons, gum balls, even a barber was there to cut hair.

Zoltar, 20c he touches the white glowing ball, his eyes glows red and you get a card that says ' Your wish has been granted'. Quite creepy. I want one in my room.  ha.

I quite like all this and the interactions that happens even though I don't understand how most of them relate to the car, just that they all are fuel tanks. I made use of the free coffee so it's all good.
After all that was planning to go home but ended up going to the 3rd year drawing show at VCA. There was a dude inside making these expresso shot martini things. I think that's what it is. Quite strong.. and not that nice. I can't believe I drank it all. 

Party

Hola, my mac is alive again! thanks to my brother. Feeling so relieved after Monday, I've been stressing for weeks for this day and now it's over. Presentation done! Glad no questions was directly asked to me. Good golly. Official essay next week but Phew, now I feel lost and uncertain about where I am going with my prac stuff. I think it's gonna be a chillax unmotivated week. I had quite a good individual tute Monday afternoon though. A video project may come soon. I feel sad I don't really have any art stuff to show.

Camberwell

Old.

Went to Camberwell market this morning! Was my first proper time there besides the other time where I went and they were all packing up.. There were soo many stalls! mainly clothes, most are cheap and are at reasonable prices. So weird, there was a guy that had a stall there that I knew whom I met on NYE a few years ago. Nice that he remembered me. Bought some beanies and some clothes.

Even though it took awhile to get everywhere, the weather made it soo urghh. Was sick and tired of the place although I still wanted to look around if that makes sense.

Famine Affair

Went out with J to NGV:Mad Square, had dumplings and waffles. The mad square was goood, inspiring. I loved Hannah Hoch's collage works, the little short films and all the portraits in the exhibition. These works were mainly about the war era and how it has affected them, time after. Ending soon early March.

Friday: Woke up really early today, well than usual to go to the city to do an english test. I really do not know if I did well.. I missed a few questions. First major thing to do for the start of the year. Quite horrible. Bought some cheap canvases after at Art Riot, as they just started their canvas sale til the end of the month. Should keep stocking.

Pool

Richmond

Twin.

Richmond festival. hot hot day. Went early with family in the morning. Main thing was winning stuff from those ball throwing places. yum grape sparking wine and those gun shooting things.

Afterwards hanged out with Thu and bought this sunflower!

My first igloo zoo. I don't think it's that great. The yogurt tasted soo sour. Not my thing.

Got a massive ugly tan.

Next day,,,

Ikea food. schnitzel, salmon, meatballs, cake, bread.

went to IKEA! cos haven't been there in ages and wanted to buy a lamp. Ended up buying a red floorlamp.

Afterwards to Willy beach and sat there until dark.

wow I'm gonna be a VCA student. weird. I'm not overjoyed or that sad, just glad to be doing something. Anyways I applied to volunteer at the bend and so today I went there to talk with the gallery co-ordinator about how everything worked. It sounds like soo much hard work, remembering things and talking to people and many other things.. but those two.. urgh. I ain't too confident. I feel like I need to take little steps or overcome something to possibly do other things (which I wouldn't even ever thought of doing). I'm not sure what that thing is though.

Birthday Smirthday

Tiramisu cake my cousin made for me! which was delish.

My aunt from qld came over early morning. Slept in, played some Donkey Kong and went out.. Ajisen, ice cream, state, Joomak. I was planning on staying at home since I really cbb going out.. I think I've accepted that I am going to do nothing this break.. not even job hunting. Anyways turning a year older just felt like any other day, I feel the same, nothings changed. I don't think it's that special. K, S, T, A, N, P.

Afterwards went to Ts house and they had a suprise cake for me! which I wasn't expecting at all. It was nice like an actual birthday which I haven't had before, and I didnt know most of them that well. Everyone was cheery and sang.
