From Jan to May, I am back!

I've actually missed blogging. looking back at old posts and seeing what I've done. It's a good platform for me to remember things and keeps me occupied.

First Group tute for the year. wk7

I've been wanting to blog since Feb actually but I couldn't seem to.. due to my lazyness and hfsagksj.

 I've started so many drafts though, just can't get through with it. There's much happening these past months I don't really know where to start. mumble jumble. Anyways I've been so sick this past week, rather dreadful cold. so horrid, my minds not helping either. Uni still, new studio space, new people, new subjects. cries. Studio work, getting somewhere slowly. Been working.. and napping heaps! I think I have a problem. I am sooo lazy even my teachers know it.. what is this. Had my CATS presentation in wk 8 on the grotesque, was sooo relieved to get it out of the way! I knew it was shit but pheww, relief. been stressing over that shit for 2 weeks prior, such a waste of time spent. Now got another long paper to write. happy times!

I have been falling downhill. Someone nearly got me. It's like a therapy session that makes you think and let everything out but no not me. Well not today. I have found my way again but haven't attempted anything yet. Soon oh soon.

It has been awhile! so many things to update on, kinda. Been starting on theory work for a presentation in 2 weeks and a textual criticism. It has been stressing me out that I can't do other work without thinking about it. My current prac work is not going so well as I'd like it to either. After the break, I've just gone blank. Made canvases today. Here's some things I've created so far.

Went to the Art Fair this few weeks ago and made some of these monsters on monster land! The art fair took the whole day for me and K to look at everything. 11am til 4.30pm. craazy.

Exam over. I think I've finished actual classes now since Friday! which I didn't rock up to.. It was that day with the non stop raining, horrible. Now just got heaps of studio time to get ready for assessment.

On Sat, took my sister out to the city. Went to see the William Kendridge show before it ended on Sunday! It was amazingg, I should of went to see it earlier so I could go again just to sit and watch his works properly. Didn't manage to watch everything that I wanted to with my sister around, always bugging to go out to the game centre outside. The fruit ninja event was on at Fed Square too, got some free shirts which was cool. 

                            

Cupcakes I made on the weekend cos I was craving for some.. mm. Today I've made berry mousse and chieken, bacon, mushroom, corn casserole.

Work for group tute, Wk.8

My kind of 'style' has changed from what I've been previously doing. More playful and it still has a creepy kind of feel to them which I still quite like. I'm also getting back to the eyes! which is weird but better, they'll still won't be normal looking though..I don't think. It has been fun to make, still not exactly sure where it is going. There is going to be a little painting show next Tuesday at VCA. 

So many birthdays has happened in this month of April.. I quite dislike birthdays but I enjoy making the cakes though! All similar to the checkered one.

Wednesday (Anzac day) Felt so shit. Day off, cousins and dad's friends came over. Celebrated Emilie's birthday. Just one of those days where I had a massive headache and wanted to tear up inside,whilst trying to stay maintained on the outside. This actually happens a lot thinking about it but it's alright. Kitty has been a big help

Went to the Finders Keepers Market last Friday night and got these! I love Dilka Bear's work. I went there rather early after class and there was a bunch of people waiting to get in or maybe it was for the taco bus..

Had a little presentation Friday, showed my little stop motion clip (another one of the baby in the shoe) which didn't really play properly/smoothly as I'd like) It was alright though, that class was soo long. Last week presented my watercolour window series which had quite a discussion..

These days I've been stressing over this stupid presentation and essay I need to do due wk10(1wk-ish). I know its quite awhile for some to get an essay done but for me, it's so hard. It still hasn't sunk in that it is due soon. I just can't put everything together. Actually procrastinating right now.. noo.

'Malk', 2012, gouache on watercolor paper

I haven't used gouache for a while, I thought I could use it like watercolors. I knew that it'd be different. Blending was very hard and frustrating. 

I've made some foood.

Choc checkered cake.

Panna cotta w/coconut tuile, almond toffee and strawberries.
 It was surpringly delicious! and a bit fancy 

I've also made a pumpkin pudding which I was really stoked about when making it but it failed. Only one tablespoon was eaten.

It has been awhile once again. Gonna try and get back to it. Easter break coming up.
Highlights: job which never called me back, throwing up for a couple of days, painting, analysis, seeing high school art teachers and just sitting around.

Morning class was planned to check out artist studios but it was cancelled! and I didn't know about it since I took the day off before (where I made a fail pumpkin pudding).. so I just rocked up there wondering why people weren't around.. lucky another guy came and found out. I was kinda looking forward to it too.

Hellooo I am finally back blogging.. from my random disappearance for anyone that cares.
What has been happening for the last four weeks.. Still kind of same old and bits and pieces. I have been sick since the second day of uni. It went for more than a week! I felt so dead. All I've carried around is my water bottle and a box of tissues. I have a rubbish bag full of tissues in my studio and even in my room. Wasted so much tissue. It was crazy. Well now I am officially all better despite the weather being what it always is. Uni has been alright. I don't really like Mondays. There is soo much talent in one space. Everyone's work is just wowsers. Well here is what I've been doing..

Got my free paint yesterday for entering the Yen - Young Australian art award. woo.


"Birthday Boy" (continued) Created another painting, connecting to the first. Still unfinished. I really have not been up to much. Mainly at home lazing about. I'm surprised I haven't gone insane just yet. That'll give me the inspiration.

Australia day yesterday. Didn't do anything. I wanted to go see Loon lake and I, a man play at Fed Square live though but that didn't happen.

'Birthday Boy' Progress painting I started yesterday night. I've been wanting to paint these days but didn't know what of. I tried using another method on this one which turned out okay so far, inspired by Ryan Shultz.

I didn't know what images to put and was rushing so I just ended up putting some of my work in. It looks pretty good though! Happy with my freebie.

So what's been happening. I've been at home most of the time, literally babysitting. If I'm out it's either grocery shopping or a family event. I've been contemplating on going out out like to the city or somewhat but I really just couldn't be bothered since I don't need anything really.. Up to the final stage of DK! it is so hard, it frustrates me. Today is also my cousin's birthday! oh delicious mudcake.
