Australia day yesterday. Didn't do anything. I wanted to go see Loon lake and I, a man play at Fed Square live though but that didn't happen.

'Birthday Boy' Progress painting I started yesterday night. I've been wanting to paint these days but didn't know what of. I tried using another method on this one which turned out okay so far, inspired by Ryan Shultz.

I didn't know what images to put and was rushing so I just ended up putting some of my work in. It looks pretty good though! Happy with my freebie.

So what's been happening. I've been at home most of the time, literally babysitting. If I'm out it's either grocery shopping or a family event. I've been contemplating on going out out like to the city or somewhat but I really just couldn't be bothered since I don't need anything really.. Up to the final stage of DK! it is so hard, it frustrates me. Today is also my cousin's birthday! oh delicious mudcake.

My mac charger was fixed 2weeks ago and now it's loose once again. :( I really should buy a new one. I also lost my ipod!! in my room somewhere.. why oh why.. I really haven't been doing anything exciting at all these days.. only cleaning and helping mum making food especially spring rolls. It has been 2 days of it! So sick and tired.

I've started another big painting though on Tuesday which is based on this sketch I did earlier in the day. I think it'll be the first big one where everything was from my imagination and not referred to from a photo. I quite like that little sketch.

Really haven't been up to much besides starting watching drama series again. no.. the days of being free has got to me. I need a job. Also made a concertina book for my life drawing stuff today.

Jellybabies

Hot hot day it has been, spent in the city, fundraising instead of painting. We made a reasonable amount for what we are doing so it was good.

Strawberry pancake at Passionflower yesterday. It was my first time there. A friend was working and it was nice seeing her again! The food was alright, I don't really eat at these places but I think it's better than pancake parlour.

While at my studio I put this little guy together and created the base for it to stand. Still deciding whether I should paint him or not. I have a feeling he will be named Fred.

While I was cleaning and sorting things out for my room. He is so naughty. We have taught him to use the kitty litter and he knows how but now he somehow learned to poop in the bathroom near the shower hole and pee pee in the sink. I just wonder where he got the idea from. Plus he lost a tooth the other day!

Another dog painting

Painting and sculpture class.

This is what I painted today in class! of my lovely dog when he was sick. I just love his expression even though it's sad. Still gotta add colour to his fur patch and fix the body a bit. I think it looks quite good the way it is, colour wise.

When painting I like to look at the progress of of how it came about. So I just snap a pic when I do any changes and see what can be improved. So here is a little before and after shot, also including my other painting from the earlier post that still needs some retouching. It makes me happy seeing that much change from how shitty it was before.

Looking through space

So today had painting class in the morning with a new teacher. Just fixed up some bits and pieces. Nothing special happened today besides an asian lady sitting next to me on the train home offering me some almonds, which was nice. That's all. I like train rides, not really packed ones. You can feel time passing by slowly and you just drift off in another state, well for me. I think it's the only time where I get to think about nothing most of the time even though I think I do that a lot anyways. It's just something..
