Back to blogging! It has been a bit over a month.. This holiday break I've been actually busy and not sitting around that much~ yayer. I have found a job! feels good to see money rolling in my bank account again. Also been painting a commision piece for cc.
Went to the Highpoint Christmas opening event thing with my little cousins where there was free face painting, those balloon people, costume figurine people.. It's nice highpoint is actually creating events these days like they're having some 12 days til christmas where you can get free gift cards, samples and other stuff.
Munta and Kitty baby. Oh gosh kitty has been sooo naughty. He pissed on a new karaoke machine my dad bought not long ago. -__- This is the second time!! I feel so bad.. my dad would probably have threw him out the house ages ago if it wasn't for me.

Last night I attended a little event for my old principal who is retiring as principle. I was invited because I have painted him and was to present it as a gift from the V parents group. It was kind of random but he liked it! and everyone else did so it was good. It was nice to feel acknowledged for something I've done by a group of people I have never met. A lot of thank yous. What a moment..
My lemon meringue pie! I've been wanting to make these for awhile now after watching 'Toast' (2010) and it just came to mind few days ago. Haven't been baking lately but I am quite happy with these as a first attempt! actually took me 2 days to make.
Last studio shots for the year! It has been quite a year.. I don't know how to describe it.
Took down everything today. Now break time! I am in a pickle. I kind of need to choose between two jobs that mainly require night shifts on the weekends. If you know me, I hate choosing and can't really make decisions on the spot. It makes me feel sad to choose one. Why does it have to happen now and not before when I was actually searching. :(
I met a really cute guy last week on my first shift, but didn't catch his name or anything.. cos I was focusing on other things (actually working). There was so many chances but oh well.. I have also been majorly sick especially on Monday where my throat was so sore, felt swollen, runny nose, and so many non stop tears from morning til the afternoon.. even at the docs. By the end of the day my eyes were so puffy like mosquitoes have bitten them. I even went to see my brothers little art show.. and the next day I had an interview in the morning where my eyes were still in that same state.. I think it went well though.. Anyways I am much better now and the weather is just crazy.
The year is getting so close to an end! Soo much to do in such little time although it doesn't feel like it now. The past week haven't really been up to much besides sitting and thinking. I am totally chilling my way through this. Actually finished reading Jon Bergers 'Ways of seeing' and I'm not really a reader.. interesting stuff esp on publicity (for me). Currently, started a painting (Mr.Q), fail shoot, need to do start essay, more studio work, comission for CC, job search. make canvases.

Just finished watching 'Symbols' with Hitoshi Matsumoto on sbs. It is such a cracka movie. Could not stop laughing. A guy in colourful pyjamas trapped in a white room with these little penises along the walls which when you touch them some random item magically appears and he just tries and escape the room. Also watched The ring (Japanese version), Amelie (again), Padre Padrone.
All these movies are great! Been watching on sbs and the first two borrowed from the library. Really recommend watching Mon Oncle, the architect design, the characters, the filming, it's just oh so great.
It has been a good stress free productive, I guess, week. Also got my hair cut.
Two days in the studio. I've made this square canvas to paint a pattern on but found another for it so I painted this portrait of my little baby cousin.
Wed: had mid semester reviews.. wasn't so great but now actually motivates me to do things. Started to paint this doggy.
Thu: finally got round to hanging my stuff on my wall. been meaning to! but had the wrong nails.. Also went to the art forum thing for the first time this year. It was pretty good.

Was sunny day out today washed the dogs, went bike riding, made some jelly and some Choc chip scones! as well as painting.
