Dearest Kitty..

Hello blog I am back.. Not happy but still alive and living.

Just to put my grief on the death of my dear cat, Kitty, yesterday on Christmas Eve. I've never felt so down. Everything reminds me of him. I've been in bed in tears since the incident late arvo till today. It happened so fast. Just can't stop. My room is full of cats and it's even more sad because I've also just started painting a picture of him and its right next to my bed. He's looking right at me. Just when I was getting back into painting, actually enjoying too! I don't think I'll be able to finish it.. very soon. I don't know what else I could've done but it's just too soon. Only two and a half years old, still a baby. Really thought he'd stay for the long run! Also right on Christmas.. I was planning to take a Christmas photo with him that day too but he's now gone.. gone before my birthday, gone before New Years.. whyyy, I don't want anything else. The last time I saw him alive and well, was not long before the incident, he was lying long in front of the house and I gave him a little pat cuddle and said 'I'll see you later when I come back Kitty!' who knew that'll be the last.

Christmas morning. Waking up, I thought I'd be okay. I miss not seeing him sleeping in my room or meowing outside the door. I normally go search for him but no.. It brought me to tears again. Looking outside the window, it hurts me knowing he won't be crawling along the fence or just sitting at the front waiting. He meant so much to me, he was my comforter, my friend, my baby, my kitty. He made me so happy. Now I feel lonely as ever. I know I have others around to support me but it's not the same.
My sister gave me a christmas present this morning since I wouldn't get of bed. Opened the package, figured out it was sneakers, opened the box there was also a cat shirt.. it made me cry again. I don't know how I feel about cats anymore.. seeing them just reminds me of him.

Oh dear Astro baby why do you have to go.. the time when I need you most.

 

 

 

 

 

 

               

 I can't smile or even fake it but thanks for being the bestfriend I've had. Will truly miss you. :'(

Cat life

Current at uni, waiting for class to start.. had a nice relief nap. I had a tute with Raf and now a tad motivated to just get going and doing things! I am the same every start of the semester, so lost and zzz. Felt so shitty today though.  Living the life of a cat. I need a haircut and I feel like going for a run.

Last monday went to the Aquarium for class. We were meant to draw fishes and their movements. I struggled, it was so hard. I just actually suck at drawing in general. The penguins are so cute!

It has been awhile, Holidays over, back to uni. 

Holidays was alright, good sleep ins and spent alot of time with these guys.

I'm actually really happy as to how this turned out in the end! Currently in a gold frame ready to go~

Did some baking: Green tea n choc cheesecake, Cream cheese donuts, lemon tart.

Did some cleaning that took daysss! Now currently in the same state/mess as before -__-". It can never stay clean. whyyyyy?!?!!

During the break.. one of my dogs died.. you may remember Fluffy the brown pomeranian dog that ate my sausage. Sad times, was kinda unexpected. r.i.p Fluffy. Now there's these two buggers left! Little boy's so small and cute..

Sunny [+]

It has been a good stress free productive, I guess, week. Also got my hair cut.

Two days in the studio. I've made this square canvas to paint a pattern on but found another for it so I painted this portrait of my little baby cousin.  

Wed: had mid semester reviews.. wasn't so great but now actually motivates me to do things. Started to paint this doggy.

Thu: finally got round to hanging my stuff on my wall. been meaning to! but had the wrong nails.. Also went to the art forum thing for the first time this year. It was pretty good.

Random thing I made on Friday night.

Was sunny day out today washed the dogs, went bike riding, made some jelly and some Choc chip scones! as well as painting.

Animations

 Winter, rain and drizzle. Have been sick and been my usual self, avoiding the rain and everything else. 

Delay. It has been a fun filled four days with exhausting long hours on the drawing on animation course as a winter intensive. Started on Monday which was exciting! besides the early start. Had two lovely animators who helped us out, one worked in a film called 'Mary & Max' a academy award winning short animation and the other also won an award for.. I forgot what.. but her stuff is amazing.

Untitled, on Plywood. Painting (cropped) I did few weeks ago on the break. I don't know if I actually like it, I did when I was actually painting her but it just feels like there is nothing really to it and not very me. I guess I just wanted to try something different. Inspired by Charmaine Olivia.

On the first day we watched various animations that involved different techniques to get us thinking and inspired to create our own in only a couple of long days. Pes, Bruce Alcock, Carmen Torrero etc. It is so amazing the process and time spent on each second of a film especially back then when they didn't have the technology like we do now. Day 2 started actually making our own. Day 3 Continuation. Made another one and a half. Day 4: Putting it together in the computer labs. And there is a screening day next week where we get to watch everybody's animation! I saw a few, and I have to say.. they all looked amazing. It was quite a nice class with a mix of people from art, music, to science, physics. Glad I chose this.
I have a few clips that I've been meaning to upload but aren't so much finished.. but I've finally done it today! Sorry for video overload.. It'll be cool if you could check it out though :)

This is the first that I did. Mainly using charcoal and rubbing out, William Kentridge inspired.

Second is a clay animation I call Plog.

One of the videos I created to experiment and push on with my painting ideas.

Clip I did a while ago, that I didn't really like and ended up submitting to related studies class. Similar to the rabbit and wonderer clip.
